Dress Code
This is a very con traversal topic. Yes dress codes does make everything look professional and clean looking but there is no personality into the style. I think the whole holes in the jeans are fine if they are below the knee, but above the knee is a little too much. Then when it comes to the short skirts, common sense. When it is so short that you can't sit down, then you shouldn't be wearing it. Then you wonder why people are whispering behind your back. It's just common sense on what to wear and what not to wear. I think the school should be strict to a point otherwise relax because I would love to wear my hat to school.

You have a very interesting arguement. But i don't disagree with our school's dresscode. The reason we have a dresscode is to inforce the use of appropriate clothing. Clothes are a way to express yourself but no one wants to see too much skin. You can still express yourself through your clothing but not with ripped jeans or plunging neck lines. Its not like our school is telling us that we need to wear uniforms. Thank God!
I think that the dress code in our school is a little extreme because there aren't any shorts that come past your finger tips, well, at least for girls there aren't. Also, students receive a detention basically if their shoulders are showing, because shirts have to be 2 inches on the shoulder. Come on, are people going to be like offended by seeing a should? I'm sorry but it gets extremely hot in the school and spagetti strap shirts are the most common thing worn. We should be able to wear what we want.
A dress code is important, but sometimes they are a little extreme. People get in trouble for having a tiny hole in their jeans below their knee.AHHHH SKIN!!!At the same time, there are girls wearing skirts so that their entire leg is exposed. What is the sense? I had a big discussion about this with various people a few week ago. The whole point of the dress code is to look "professional"... when people have chains and things hanging down to the floor. But it's true. Thank god we don't have a dress code. I would hate having no individuality in anyone's clothing. Imagine everyone looking the same!
I think that are dress code is kind of extreme but i am just happy we don't have uniforms!
i think that the school uniform is "OK", but there is a few changes that could be made in the school uniform like making it so you can wear shorts to school. because when it starts getting warm out, i don't even end up wearing shorts to school because none of mine are long enough to reach the appropriate length. i think that its okay to wear shorts as long as your butt isn's hanging out of them Our school dress code isn't that bad, that is just one major change that i would make.
This is a very interesting subject. It totally should be all about your own personal style, not what people " want" you to be. About the holes..Personally, i think it shouldn't matter where they are, if the person chooses to have them in the crotch, let them embarrass themselves like that.
I understand why some points of the dress code are in, but i agree when you say they should be a little less strict on the holes in the jeans thing. and i wear hats all the time i would love to wear it around school.
I agree. People should use common sense in what to wear but we should be able to wear hats in class.
